If you have never worn harem pants and are not sure you will get on with them, start here. Sokai is the middle of the range in every direction: 50% cotton and 50% linen at a midweight, a hip of 104 cm at size M, a 98 cm length. Enough drop to feel different from a normal trouser, not so much that you feel dressed up.
The midweight matters more than it sounds. Light linen harem pants can look flimsy in daylight, and heavy ones sit hot. This one holds a shape at rest and still moves when you do.
Both fibres are doing something. Linen handles the heat, cotton keeps it from creasing into a map of your morning by the time you sit down for lunch.
Where it sits
Sokai is one of five harem cuts we carry. It is narrower than Shinbo through the hip, heavier than Kireina, and less structured than Pokku. Sizes run XS to 3XL, one of only two of the five that start below M, so it works if you are slim through the waist.

Shot a quick hallway mirror pic and the pants actually read well on body, not just in the folded photo. I'm normally XS and this 3XL version is obviously huge on me, but that's the look I wanted and the drape is kind of fun.

Came folded clean in the bag and the black looked the same as the listing when I opened it. Tried them on right away and the XL has a nice loose fall, not stiff at all.

Tried them on in a mirror pic and the shape actually showed up pretty well. I'm 6'0 / 82kg and the L has that relaxed drop without swallowing my legs, though the cuff sits a little lower than I wanted.

Bought the chocolate brown in S and the waist is fine, though the leg opening feels a little more snug than I thought. Still like the drape and it's easy to throw on with a plain tee.

Color was a bit richer in person than I expected, which was a good surprise. I'm 5'8 and XS fits like a relaxed cropped thing on me, so I wear them with low sneakers mostly.
