Wale is what you are choosing
Wale count decides how corduroy reads, and it is the thing most listings leave out. Wale counts the ridges per inch. A low count gives fat ribs and a heavy workwear look. A high count gives fine ribs closer to velvet.
Corduroy also has a nap. Run your hand up the ribs and it darkens, run it down and it lightens, so a pair looks like two different colors depending on the light.
The Miyabi, measured
The published chart lists laid-flat halves, so the numbers double for circumference. At size M the waist is 34 cm flat, so 68 cm around, and the hip is 53 cm flat. Leg opening is 19 cm flat, so 38 cm around, and the garment runs 98 cm long.
The chart also carries a recommended height of 165 cm to 170 cm and weight of 50 kg to 60 kg for size M. Fabric is 100% premium cotton corduroy in a relaxed straight fit. Sizes reach M to 3XL in three colors. Cold wash. Dry flat or on a hanger.
