A chore jacket in washed cotton canvas, collared in corduroy. Button front, a flap chest pocket and two open pockets at the hip. The canvas is washed before it is cut, so it starts soft and keeps its shape at the cuff and hem.
The chore jacket is the original French workwear piece, a plain cotton jacket with deep pockets that farmers and factory workers wore every day for a century, and the heavyweight garment-dyed canvas here gives it that same honest character, with a corduroy collar as the only detail that is not plain. Relaxed, straight hem, long sleeve. Sizes XS and S. The supplier gives a recommended size chart only.
Fabric and care
Heavyweight, densely woven cotton canvas, garment-dyed, with a crinkled, slightly frayed finish. Machine wash cold with like colours. No bleach. Hang to dry or tumble dry low. Warm iron if needed.
How to wear it
Over a heavy tee with work pants and boots. Over a hoodie in autumn. Khaki goes with everything.
Good to know
Garment-dyed canvas fades unevenly with wear, a little at the elbows, a little at the pocket edges. Over time it becomes yours.
The corduroy collar is the only soft touch on a hard-wearing jacket. It sits well against the neck and contrasts with the canvas.
