Full-length wide pleated pants with a buckled belt and rolled cuffs.
These Japanese wide leg pants pair deep front pleats with a buckled belt and a rolled cuff that sits on the shoe. They run full length, 100 cm from waist to hem. Most of our one-size cuts stop above the ankle. This one does not.
The rolled cuff is the finishing touch. It adds a little weight at the hem, so the wide leg falls straight down instead of flaring, and it gives you a choice: leave it rolled for a neat break on the shoe, or let it down for a longer, looser line over a boot in the colder months. Two looks. One pair.
Size
One size. The waist adjusts from 64 to 110 cm. The rise is 39 cm, the hip 112 cm and the thigh 88 cm. The hem measures 88 cm around. Allow 1 to 3 cm.
Fabric and care
80% polyester and 20% cotton. The pleats hold and the cloth drapes.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, or hand wash cold. Hang to dry by the waistband so the panels fall straight.
How to wear them
The belt makes them a little dressier than our drawstring cuts. Tuck in a plain shirt so the buckle shows. A short jacket keeps the proportions right. Boots or plain trainers both work.
