This jinbei clothing set carries seigaiha, the overlapping wave pattern of Japanese cloth, all over. It is double-layer 100% cotton gauze, soft and light. The set has a tie-front top with elbow sleeves and shorts.
Seigaiha (blue ocean waves) is one of the oldest Japanese patterns, a calm repeat of overlapping arcs that stands for peace and good fortune, and printing it on a double-layer gauze jinbei pairs that meaning with a fabric that breathes like nothing else on a humid summer night. Waves. Calm.

How to wear it
As a set at home or at a summer festival. The top alone over shorts.
Good to know
Double-layer gauze is two thin layers of cotton joined together. It is soft, airy and gets softer with every wash.
Black wave shows the pattern in grey lines. Grey wave is lighter.
The wave pattern is printed all over, so the set reads as one piece when worn together. Worn apart, the top pairs with plain black shorts or trousers. Gauze dries quickly, so it is easy to wash and wear again the next day.
Grey wave is softer and suits lighter summer outfits with white or sand trousers.
