Men's Japan Style Drawstring Pants

These Japan pants keep it simple. A wide straight leg. A single tuck at the front of each leg. A drawstring waist. A hem cropped above the ankle.

The tuck is the detail to notice. It adds a little room over the thigh and gives the front a soft fold, the kind of quiet structure you find on Japanese work trousers that have to look tidy at the start of a shift and still feel easy after eight hours of bending, kneeling and walking. Nothing hangs off them. Nothing shines.

Size

One size, relaxed. The drawstring adjusts the waist. The supplier publishes no measurement chart for this pant, so we list the size without invented figures. Our model is 189 cm, and on him the hem sits above the ankle.

Fabric and care

80% polyester and 20% cotton. It resists creases and dries fast.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, or hand wash cold. Hang to dry by the waistband so the panels fall straight.

How to wear them

Wear them with a plain tee and canvas shoes in summer. Add an open haori or a chore jacket when it cools. Black on black looks clean. A white shirt brightens it.
