Collarless Denim Chore Jacket

The chore jacket started as French and American workwear, a simple cotton layer with big pockets for tools, and taking away the collar turns it into something closer to Japanese workwear: cleaner at the neck, easier over a hoodie, and calmer under a coat when the weather turns. Simple. Strong.

Fit and sizing

Relaxed and boxy. Take your usual size. The chest measures 122 cm at XS, 130 cm at M and 134 cm at L. The shoulder runs 56 to 60.5 cm, the length 70 to 76 cm and the sleeve 58 to 62.5 cm. Our model is 187 cm and wears M. Allow 1 to 3 cm.

Fabric and care

85% cotton, 15% polyester denim. Hand wash cold with a mild detergent, or machine wash cold inside out. No bleach. Dry in the shade. Wash dark colours separately.

How to wear it

Over a white tee with wide trousers. Over a hoodie in autumn. Under a long coat in winter.

Good to know

Sand-washing softens the denim before you buy it, so there is no stiff break-in. The 15% polyester keeps the shape at the shoulders and cuffs, so the jacket never sags.
