High-rise pleated pants with very wide balloon legs and a belt tie.
High waisted pants for guys, in black. Deep front pleats open into very wide legs that curve out and in again like a balloon. A long belt ties at the front and hangs loose.
A high waist changes your proportions: it lengthens the leg, shortens the torso, and makes any tucked tee or cropped jacket look deliberate. It has come back strongly in Japanese and avant-garde menswear, and the balloon leg here exaggerates that effect in the best way. Tall. Dramatic.
Size
One size. The waist adjusts from 63 to 111 cm. The length is 101 cm with a 39 cm rise. The hip measures 111 cm, the thigh 87 cm and the hem 87 cm. Allow 1 to 3 cm.
Fabric and care
A cotton-polyester blend, mostly polyester. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, or hand wash cold. Hang to dry.
How to wear them
Tuck in a plain black tee so the waist shows. A cropped jacket works too. Chunky boots or flat sandals. Keep it all black, and if you want a single accent, let it be a silver ring or a white sock showing between the hem and the shoe, because anything louder fights with the shape of the legs. Done.
Good to know
The tie belt does the fitting. Tie it at your natural waist and the pleats fall straight. Tie it a little lower for a softer, slouchier line.
The deep front pleats are pressed in. The volume stays organised at the waist instead of bunching. As the legs curve out and in again, the hem lands neatly at the ankle.
One size fits most frames thanks to the long tie belt. It wraps once or twice depending on your waist and then hangs down the front as part of the look.
Pairs well with the 100 cotton long sleeve t-shirt and the heavyweight hoody. Also in the same family: the straight leg cotton stretch pants.
