Full-length hakama trousers with a pleated panel and a buckled belt.
These hakama trousers run full length. Most of our one-size hakama stop above the ankle. This pair goes to the shoe, 99 cm from waist to hem, with a pleated panel over wide legs and a belt that buckles at the front.
A traditional hakama ties with long cords. Here a buckled belt does the job, so the trouser goes on and comes off in seconds. The pleated panel keeps the hakama outline at the front, and the wide legs underneath move freely through a long walk or a deep squat.
Size
One size. The waist adjusts from 63 to 111 cm. The rise is 39 cm, the hip 111 cm and the thigh 87 cm. The hem opens to 87 cm around and falls straight over the shoe. Our model is 189 cm.
Fabric and care
The cloth is 80% polyester and 20% cotton. It drapes, holds the pleats and does not crease easily. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, or hand wash cold. Hang to dry.
How to wear them
Full length suits colder months and more formal days. Pair them with a dark knit or a long shirt, and boots or a solid dress shoe. In summer, a boxy tee and sandals keep the look light.

The fabric is heavier than I expected, which is good for the drape. Color is a true black. Only minor thing is they feel a bit long, but easy to roll up. Good for cooler evenings.

Can dress these up or down pretty easily. The black goes with everything. Just wish the fabric was a little more breathable for warmer Aussie weather.
