Loose kimono-cut jacket with an open crossed front and a waist tie.
A denim kimono: a kimono-cut jacket in washed 100% cotton denim. It is open at the front and closed with a fabric tie at the waist. It has a chest pocket, two large patch pockets and buckled tabs at the hem.
Denim and the kimono collar come from opposite sides of the world, American workwear and Japanese tradition, but they meet naturally in Japanese denim culture, and this jacket brings the two together in a loose, easy layer that works over a tee in spring and over a hoodie in autumn. Two traditions. One jacket.
Fit and sizing
Loose. The chest measures 125 cm at XS, 133 cm at M and 137 cm at L. Shoulders run 55.5 to 60 cm, lengths 71 to 77 cm and sleeves 56 to 60.5 cm. The supplier suggests XS for 160 to 173 cm and M for 180 to 183 cm. Our model wears M. Allow 1 to 3 cm.
Fabric and care
100% cotton denim, washed. Hand wash cold with a mild detergent, or machine wash cold inside out. No bleach. Dry in the shade. Wash dark colours separately.
Colours
Blue or black.
How to wear it
Tied over a tee with wide trousers. Open over a hoodie. With hakama for a full Japanese look.
Good to know
The buckled tabs at the hem let you narrow the waist slightly for a neater line.
