Weight is what separates these five from a tee that goes translucent by August. Above about 250 g a knit stands away from the body and keeps a shoulder line through the day. Below 180 g it drapes on you and shows whatever is underneath.
The trade is heat. A 270 g cotton tee is a poor choice in humidity. It is the right choice for nine months of the year.
