Ten pieces sized past a standard XL

Most menswear ranges stop at XL or 2XL and call the rest a special order. These ten do not. Five run to 3XL and five run to 5XL, across four categories - three harem pants, four t-shirts, a shirt-jacket, a sweatshirt and a shirt - so extended sizing is not confined to one silhouette here.

The three-to-five-pairs

Gelyu, Pokku and Shinbo are the harem pants that run to 5XL. Gelyu is the roomiest pleated cut, in a cotton-linen blend heavy enough to hold the pleats open. Pokku is the only denim harem pant, cut closer to a regular trouser than the linen pairs. Shinbo carries the deepest hip in the range and the widest size span, S to 5XL. Everything else that runs long

The Cotton-Linen Long-Sleeve Shirt-Jacket and the Shinu Sleeve Shirt both reach 5XL. Four t-shirts - the 220g cotton-blend tee, the heavyweight cooling cotton-blend, the quick-dry running tee and the heavyweight cooling performance tee - run to 3XL, as does the Sakura Embroidered Sweatshirt.

Reading the size, not the letter

3XL and 5XL mean different things on a t-shirt and a pleated trouser, so check the individual size chart rather than assuming the label carries across categories. Why this list is short

Most of the catalogue stops at XL or 2XL. These ten are the ones that do not, and the list grows as new pieces are cut with the wider run built in from the start rather than added as an afterthought.
