Relaxed straight fit.
Yasumi are our cropped Japanese linen pants. They are cut in 100% linen, lightweight with a matte texture, and drafted around a 93.5 cm cropped line. They finish at or just above the ankle instead of breaking over the shoe.
That shortening changes what they go with. They work over a low shoe or a sandal, where a full-length linen trouser would swallow both. They also suit shorter frames, so the recommended height on this pair starts at 155 cm.
The linen does what linen does. It breathes. It creases, and it gets softer and better looking after every wash, until the pair you bought in spring feels like an old favourite by the end of summer. The matte surface keeps it from looking shiny in sun.
Fit notes
Relaxed straight fit. At size M the waist is 74 cm, the hip 109 cm and the leg opening 42.5 cm. Sizes run XS to 3XL. The chart lists two lengths, cropped and full, because both were given at source. Use the cropped figure: 93.5 cm from S to M, 95.5 cm at L and XL, 97.5 cm at XXL and 3XL.
Fabric and care
Machine wash cold with similar colours. No bleach. Line dry or tumble dry low. Warm iron if you want a sharp line, or wear the creases.
How to wear them
Black, khaki or gray. Pair them with a loose shirt in summer or a tee and an open haori in spring. Sandals and canvas shoes suit the cropped hem best.

These came out the box looking exactly like black pants, which I liked. I’m 6'0 and got the M, and they drape nicely without clinging, even after sitting at work all day. Snapped a mirror pic before heading out and they looked better than I thought tbh.

4 stars because they’re a little thinner than I expected, but still good. I’m 179 cm and the S lands right around the ankle on me. In the mirror they looked pretty sharp with a tee, and the black doesn’t come off shiny or cheap.

I like the fabric and the waistband is comfortable, but the L runs longer than I wanted. I’m 6'1 and they bunch a little at the shoe after a few hours. Not bad, just wish the hem was cleaner on me.

Bought the XS and they sit pretty clean. I’m 5'8 and usually between XS/S, and these are relaxed without looking baggy. Wore them for a full day and they didn’t get weirdly stretched out at the waist, which was nice.
