Leg opening is the measurement that decides how a trouser reads, and almost no brand puts it on the tag. Ours run 25 cm on the Fleece-Lined Sweatpants to 61 cm on the Wide Leg Pleated Suit Trousers at size M. Thirty-six centimeters apart.
Below 35 cm a leg tapers and shows the ankle. Above 45 cm it falls straight from the hip and hides the shoe. Everything else is somewhere in between.
Waist, length and rise
Waist at size M sits between 58 cm and 94 cm. Length runs 88 cm to 109 cm. The hip varies most, because the Japanese-cut harem pairs and the pleated trousers carry more volume through the seat.
Most carry a full size chart. Fabrics cover cotton, a 65% cotton linen blend, an 80% cotton denim, 100% nylon, a 67.6% polyester with 32.4% cotton twill and 79.6% polyester suiting. Sizes reach XXS to 5XL, with one nylon cargo sized 28 to 36. Every shoot uses a 187 cm model or taller and records the size worn, so you can judge the length and the break at the shoe against a real body before you order. Wash cold.

Measure a pair you already wear flat across the waist and double it. Waist at size M here sits between 58 cm and 94 cm.

The linen blends and the nylon wide-leg. Both move air instead of trapping it against the leg.
