Oversized relaxed fit.
Atoji are cotton linen shorts for men in a 50/50 blend, midweight and breathable. They are cut oversized and relaxed, and finish above the knee. The drawstrings are printed with a repeating script motif. Atoji means "the path ahead" in Japanese.
A 50/50 blend is the sweet spot for summer shorts: enough linen to breathe on the hottest afternoon and dry in minutes after a swim, enough cotton to stay soft and keep the creases down, and in an oversized cut it gives you the relaxed Japanese summer look without the shorts looking like swimwear. Breathable. Easy.
Fit and sizing
Oversized and relaxed. Sizes run S to 3XL. At size M the length is 50 cm, the hip 114 cm, the waist 72 cm and the leg opening 63 cm, rising to 58 cm, 130 cm, 80 cm and 67 cm at 3XL. Measurements may vary by 1 to 3 cm.
Fabric and care
50% cotton, 50% linen, midweight. Machine wash cold with similar colours. No bleach. Line dry.

How to wear them
A boxy tee or an open linen-look shirt. Sandals or tabi. Roll the hem once for a shorter line.
Good to know
The wide leg opening lets air move. The printed drawstrings are the small Japanese detail that sets them apart.
The script on the drawstrings is printed, not embroidered, so it stays flat and comfortable under a tee.
