Sokai is the pair of harem trousers for men who have never worn one. It sits in the middle of our range in every direction: 50% cotton and 50% linen at a midweight, a hip of 104 cm at size M and a 98 cm length. Enough drop to feel different from a normal trouser, not so much that you feel in costume.
The midweight matters. Light linen harem pants can look flimsy in daylight, and heavy ones sit hot. This one holds a shape at rest and still moves when you do. Both fibres earn their place. Linen handles the heat. Cotton stops it from creasing into a map of your morning by lunch.
Sizing
Sizes run XS to 3XL, so it works on slimmer frames too. The chart starts at M: 68 cm waist, 104 cm hip and 98 cm long, rising to 76 cm waist, 120 cm hip and 114 cm long at 3XL. The drawstring takes care of the rest. Recommended height runs from 165 cm at M to 190 cm at 3XL. Measurements may vary by 2 to 3 cm.
Fabric and care
Machine wash cold with similar colours. No bleach. Line dry or tumble dry low, and use a warm iron if you want a crisp line.
Where it sits
Sokai is narrower than Shinbo through the hip and heavier than Kireina. Five colours: black, chocolate brown, brown, bronze and blue. Start with black or brown if it is your first pair.

Shot a quick hallway mirror pic and the pants actually read well on body, not just in the folded photo. I'm normally XS and this 3XL version is obviously huge on me, but that's the look I wanted and the drape is kind of fun.

Bought the chocolate brown in S and the waist is fine, though the leg opening feels a little more snug than I thought. Still like the drape and it's easy to throw on with a plain tee.
